Rimrock Volleyball Club
Mission Statement
Rimrock VBC is based in Prineville, Oregon and offers opportunity in learning volleyball skills and competitive play for girls ages 9-18. We are associated with the Columbia Empire Volleyball Association region of USA Volleyball and AAU. We offer junior levels of play that vary in time commitment, financial commitment and intensity. Regardless of level, our mission is to instill a love of the game and to promote and encourage the growth and development of volleyball in Central Oregon. Towards this end we strive to provide an experienced qualified coaching staff that guides athletes in developing volleyball skills, system knowledge and team dynamics. We emphasize playing in a positive, nurturing environment, teaching the concepts of team, sportsmanship and having fun. We help many of our athletes in reaching their goal of playing at the middle school, high school and collegiate levels.
We love volleyball and genuinely want all our athletes to have a great experience. Rimrock's success is not measured in wins and losses but by the growth, development and enjoyment of our athletes. We strive for all participants to learn the game and love the experience.
Congratulations
Shealene Little!
She made the "highest honorable mention" list for the National Top 59 Freshman of the year on prepvolleyball.com. Puts her in the top 100. From the article:
Shealene Little, 5-11 OH, Culver (Oregon) – Named First Team All-League and First Team All-State in Class 2A, Little was integral to Culver’s winning the Tri-River League for the first time in school history and advancing to finish fourth in the state tournament. Little also was named to the All-State Tournament team for the Bulldogs, who finished the season with a 20-6 mark.
Congratulations Shealene!

Congratulations Makayla Lindberg!

18's Rimrock/OVA Nationals Team member Mikayla Lindberg verbally committed to attending University of Portland today, January 24, 2012! We're proud of you and wish you all the best!
Makayla was also named one of 29 finalists for the 2011 PrepVolleyball.com National Junior of the Year! To be considered a finalist for National Junior of the Year, a top junior had to make a “massive” impact on her high school team and the state. "Massive" is a subjective term, but at a minimum required that she have statistics that were the best on her team at her position and that she be one of the top players in her state regardless of class. Playing on a team that won a state title, advanced far in the state tournament and/or was nationally ranked was also helpful. (This is quoted from prepvolleyball.com) |
